At Meltdown Studio, we create luxurious homewares and gifts to elevate your daily rituals and gifting. Our star product is our refillable candle holders, designed - we were tired of useless glass jars piling up, and wanted a solution that was beautiful and purposeful. We're passionate about encouraging a long-term connection with your objects, rather than embracing throw-away culture.
Meltdown Studio is run in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia, by Angeleen and Victoria, with very little help from their spoiled bonded pair of cats, Mickey and Binx. Angeleen can be found devouring content (shows, movies, books), obsessing over her cats, and arguing that aliens are real (they are), while Victoria is obsessed with art, reading horror & surreal novels, and living a life filled with pleasure.

Meltdown Studio started as a dream and a desire of co-founder Angeleen. For years, the idea of a reusable candle product marinated in her brain until it was slowly coaxed out by Victoria, co-founder and partner of Angeleen.
In 2023, we began to brainstorm and research how to make the product possible. Angeleen, with a background in product development, and Victoria’s in marketing, we got on the fuck it and find out rollercoaster.
As lovers of beautiful and useful things, our refillable candle holder was the best starting point of Meltdown Studio’s first product. It gave us the ability to work with artists we love to create unique, custom candle holder designs as well as a sturdy vessel for refills. In trying to do something a bit different, we hit many roadblocks and heard a lot of no’s, but we persevered, so proud to birth this product into the world.
We’re proud to be creating things that amuse and delight us with so much love and intention.
Love Ange & Vix xoxo
You only own so many trinkets that can be housed in a used candle jar. At some point, these go into the bin, and whilst glass can be recycled, we found it important to provide a candle product that was reusable.
So much today it feels as though there is a decision between function and form. We felt it was important that anything we made was an intersection of both, to be cherished and kept long term, avoiding throw-away culture.
By not pouring our wax directly into glass jars, which would subsequently hit the bin. Cleaning your candle holder will take time and effort to keep it looking beautiful and ready for its next candle.
We have no interest or plans to use AI in the creation of the bespoke artwork on our products.
